Assessment and Reporting

The progress of each child is regularly assessed throughout the year using both tests and ongoing teacher assessment.

At the end of Years 2 to 6, children take their SATs (Statutory Attainment Tests) which assist teachers in assessing what level their pupils are achieving.

In Years 3 to 6, SATs and teacher assessment results are reported to parents in the end of year report which is sent home in July. In Year 2, we report the teacher assessment results only.

In Reception classes, each child’s progress is tracked using the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile which is discussed with parents.
